Peter Biro is the Founder and President of SECTION 1 and a multidisciplinary expert in constitutional law and democracy.
​
A senior fellow at Massey College and the Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights, he teaches constitutional law at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law.
Following two decades as a prominent litigation attorney and leadership as CEO of Newcon Optik, Peter now champions liberal democracy and human rights.
He serves as Chair Emeritus of the Jane Goodall Institute, Global, and has edited significant works on constitutional democracy published by McGill-Queen's University Press.​​

Dr. Sebastian Maurice has nearly 25 years of experience delivering AI strategy and solutions across multiple industries. He has led global machine learning initiatives and holds Canadian and U.S. patents for pioneering work in oil production optimization and machine learning for data streams.
​
Currently, Sebastian is the Founder and CTO of OTICS, a pioneer in Transactional Machine Learning (TML) for real-time data streams and author of the seminal book on the subject published by Apress in 2021.
​
​​Sebastian also teaches machine learning and data science at the University of Toronto and Seneca Polytechnic, contributes to AI curriculum development, and is active as a researcher, blogger, speaker, coder, and mentor in the AI community.

Aileen Wang studies Economics and International Relations at the University of Pennsylvania, where she serves on the Wharton Investment and Trading Group's TMT Team.
She interned at multiple tech-focused private equity funds and secured prestigious investment banking offers from Bank of America, UBS, PJT Partners, and Evercore.
Before choosing UPenn from acceptances including Princeton and Brown, Aileen was Academic Prefect at Appleby College, served on the National Youth Advisory Committee, and collaborated with the Canadian Opera Company, demonstrating early leadership and diverse talents.

Dr. Jeremy Wang

Dr. Jeremy Wang is a Canadian aerospace engineer with 10+ years of experience in dual-use aerial robotics and regional air mobility, contributing to several industry firsts across drones, small aircraft, payloads, and autonomous systems.
​
Currently, Jeremy is the co-founder and COO of Ribbit, an airline operating dual-use self-flying planes for remote regions. Ribbit partners with major wholesalers and serves as a federal contractor delivering advanced autonomy solutions.
​
Jeremy is active in the broader aerospace and defence community, and serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Waterloo.​​​​
